About Elisesoothing & inspirational thematic soundtracks
riveting melodies – moving & heartrending Elise, who began writing music at age 3, has composed over 100 original songs with a variety of compelling musical styles. A gifted and accomplished pianist, Elise also plays the guitar, violin and the wood flute.
The calming, mind-clearing power of Elise’s music is loved by anyone looking for relaxation, comfort, inspiration or focus. These attributes make it the perfect complement to the work done by professional photographers, videographers and filmmakers—whether for a wedding slide show, a documentary, or an athletic highlight video. Filmmakers call her work “absolutely amazing.” Five-time PPA Photographer of the Year, Bry Cox, tells fellow photographers, “You need music by Elise. Her music is captivating, melodic, and will showcase your images like nothing else.” Elise has performed throughout Utah, including at venues such as Snowbird, the Gateway Plaza, the John Sorenson home, Deseret Mutual, and the LDS Conference Center. Her music has been heard regularly on local radio and last Christmas, Elise’s album Joy was featured on the Dr. Christmas Radio Show. Her music is also available on iTunes, Amazon, Pandora, Google Play, Spotify and many other online music download and streaming services. In preparation for the 2002 Winter Olympics, the Salt Lake Organizing Committee requested permission to use Elise’s music for the opening ceremonies. Her music is also used by the Ogden Valley Balloon Festival, for online commercials, and by doctors, dentists, and massage therapists who play her music in their waiting and treatment rooms. Perhaps most impressively, Elise’s soothing and inspirational music served as a valuable educational tool. Playing it kept her 5th-grade students focused and on task better than anything else she tried in her 14 years of teaching. While teaching, Elise also composed the official school song, still used and cherished by the students. This was actually the second school song she wrote. The first, she wrote years earlier, as a 5th-grade student. Elise’s love of music began at a very early age. She grew up in a musical family and learned to sing before she learned to talk. As a very young child, she would repeat back melodies sung to her by her father. Elise composed her first piece of sheet music at age four. |
